THOMASVILLE — Two more arrests were made in a chase that began in Grady County and ended when Thomas County Sheriff’s Office deputies took suspects into custody in Thomasville late Tuesday afternoon.
Harold Frank Sadler, 21, 290 Vereen Bell Road, Cairo, was the driver of the Honda Accord. Sadler, also owner of the vehicle, is charged with felony fleeing and eluding, possession of a Schedule I substance and hindering apprehension.
Ladarius Devonte Coley, 19, 612 Young St., a passenger in the car, is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance.
Sadler, Coley and three others taken into custody were denied bond and remain in the Thomas County Jail.
Others arrested were charged in connection with a Monday night shooting on Marshall Street. A projectile struck a vehicle in which females and a 3-year-old child were occupants, according to reports. The intended victim was not in the vehicle, a Thomasville police officer said.
“When we arrested them, a search was done of the vehicle, and multiple bags of molly were found,” said Louis Schofill, Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division commander.
Officers also reportedly found molly-laced cigarettes.
Molly is a hallucinogenic designer drug.
“It’s a form of ecstasy,” Schofill said.
