Mr. and Mrs. Todd Alan Barrows of Iron Mountain, Michigan, announce the engagement of their daughter, Afton Marie Barrows of Iron Mountain, Michigan, to Richard Dines Hunnewell Jr. of University City, Texas. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dines Hunnewell Sr.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Charles Kesler of Clinton, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Frederick Louis Rentz of Racine, Wisconsin, and the late Mr. Frederick Louis Rentz and the late Mr. Donald Ralph Barrows.

A 2013 graduate of Kingsford High School, Afton is set to graduate from Lakeland University in May 2017 with a degree in sports management and leadership.

The groom-elect is the son of  and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Douglas Moore and Mrs. Charles Dallas Hunnewell of Valdosta, Georgia, and the late Mr. Charles Dallas Hunnewell.

A 2012 graduate of Thomasville High Scholars Academy and 2016 graduate of Valdosta State University, Richie earned a degree in political science.

Currently, Richie serves as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force and is stationed at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph.

The wedding is at 2 p.m., July 15, 2017 at Randolph Air Force Base Chapel, San Antonio, Texas.
