Dr. Laine Reichert was named as the new superintendent for Thomasville City Schools. The city school board unanimously named Reichert at a called meeting early Wednesday morning.

Reichert was named as the sole finalist for superintendent at the Feb. 28 board meeting. Prior to being named the lone finalist, the city school board conducted two rounds of interviews. A total of 38 applicants applied for the city school’s top spot.
