There will be beloved old yard flowers with interesting stories of their culture in local family gardens for generations.

An extensive collection of native plants, including hundreds of wild azaleas and some rare and unusual species, plants for hummingbirds, butterflies and other pollinators, herbs and heirloom tomato plants and old-fashioned annuals such as moon flowers, forget-me-nots, State Fair zinneas and Heavenly Blue morning glories will be available.

Knowledgeable, friendly botanists and horticulturists volunteering for Birdsong will be happy to help you make a good choice for your garden, officials said.

The sale is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 18 at 2106 Meridian Rd., in Grady County.
