Ochlocknee man charged with sex crimes

THOMASVILLE — A teen girl reporting an incident that took place a year ago resulted in a 52-year-old Ochlocknee man being charged with child molestation and rape.
“The child made a disclosure to a teacher,” Lt. Tim Watkins, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office chief investigator, said.

The Thomasville City School System teacher relayed the information to a school counselor and the school resource officer.
Authorities learned the location of the activity was in unincorporated Thomas County.
“We did a forensic interview on the child,” Watkins explained.
Charged with child molestation and rape in the case is Terry James Sr., 52, 4031 Willow St., Ochlocknee.
The girl, now 13, said she told her parents about the incident immediately after it occurred, but told them not to say anything.
