“I feel blessed to be here,” said Clark. “There is a lot of tradition. It’s very exciting.”

Clark will be busy in the following months. He’s preparing to coach the upcoming track season and then spring football in April.

Clark will take over for Roy Harden, who resigned after five seasons as head coach at Branford.

Harden had a 15-34 record in his five seasons with the Buccaneers. Harden was unavailable for comment.

The Bucs went 4-6 last fall, the best record in Harden’s five seasons at the helm of his alma mater. Prior to returning to Branford, Harden spent nine seasons as the head coach at Bell High School.
