THOMASVILLE — The person who broke into a Hall Road residence Friday morning apparently had no idea someone was at home.

“A juvenile who was home heard the break-in, hit the closet and called 911,” Capt. Steven Jones, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office public information officer, said.

The break-in was about 9 a.m. in the 4900 block of Hall.

When a deputy approached the house, the burglar ran, crossed Hall near Crowley Road and disappeared in a densely overgrown field.

Jones said the suspect, wearing a dark-green hoodie and tan pants, is believed to be male.

The juvenile’s mother was notified about the incident and returned home immediately.

Anyone seeing the suspect should call 911.
