TCMS LEGO League team wins

Thomas County Middle School’s LEGO League team, Animal Avengers, won the overall project award at the Albany Tech Regional Competition. They placed fifth for Robot performance qualifying them for Super Regionals at Columbus State University.
The team’s project was to design a turtle barricade for sea turtle nests to be placed at St. George Island, Florida. The group constructed a prototype and presented it to the Thomas University Science Department. They wrote and performed a skit in order to present their project for competition.
Most recently, the Animal Avengers were invited to present their project at the January meeting of the Kiwanis Club. Team coaches are TCMS science teachers Kim Simmons and Dana Studdard.
