With the recent destruction from storms in the Albany area, Southwest Georgia Farm Credit is accepting donations at each of their locations to assist those who are in desperate need.
“Our neighbors in the Albany area have suffered greatly this month from two separate storms that have devastated entire communities,” said Paxton Poitevint, chief operating officer. “We want to help those who have lost so much with a few things that might help them get through the next few weeks. We know our borrowers, and our neighbors and friends, want to show their support, as well.”
Items needed include: baby items (formula, clothing, blankets, diapers, sippy cups, etc.); toiletry items (towels, toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc.); water and gatorade; blankets and pillows.
Donations are being accepted through 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26 and can be dropped off at any of the following Southwest Georgia Farm Credit locations:
• Americus – 1037 East Forsyth Street
• Bainbridge – 305 Colquitt Highway
• Camilla – 40 East Broad Street
• Dawson – 937 Forrester Drive
