The Georgia Division United Daughters of the Confederacy members are seeking students in grades fifth-12th to participate in the annual essay contest. The title, “Inventions by Confederate Soldiers Used by Today’s Military,” is open to all public, private and homeschooled students. The rules and directions are clearly written and specific to each grade level.

The essays must be submitted by March 6, to the John B. Gordon Chapter UDC, ; c/o M.R. Coons, 203 Summercreek Cove, Thomasville Ga. 31792. Division winners in each grade level will be rewarded.
