Armed robbery under investigation

TIFTON, Ga. — O’Reilly Auto Parts in Tifton was robbed by two armed, masked men at approximately 7:30 p.m. Dec. 28, according to the Tifton Police Department.
Two black males, wearing masks and dark clothing entered the store and held the two employees at gunpoint.
They had the employees empty the cash registers, then the safe in the back of the store.
The two perpetrators then ordered the employees to stay in the back while they made their escape.
Detective Ferron Yi with the Tifton Police Department said the crime was very well planned and carried out.
There was a similar robbery in Americus on Dec. 26.
Two armed black males, wearing masks and all black clothing, entered that O’Reilly Auto Parts store, demanded money and forced the employees into the restroom while they made their escape.
It is unclear if the two robberies are related.
