Gainous – Craven

Crystal Michelle Gainous, originally of Thomasville, Georgia, and Frederick Ford Craven, of Concord, North Carolina, were united in marriage on October 1, 2016.
The ceremony was held in the garden of the Cloister at Sea Island, Georgia at 5:30 p.m. The groom’s uncle, Frederick Thorns Craven, officiated the ceremony.
A dinner reception was held in the Spanish Lounge of the Cloister immediately following the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wayne Gainous of Thomasville, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Delma Hansel Gainous and the late Mr. Gainous of Thomasville, Georgia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wilber Ashton of Tallahassee, Florida.
Crystal is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA in Philosophy.
She is an Assistant Vice President of Branch Banking & Trust Company in Concord, North Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Kindel Craven of Concord, North Carolina. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Thorns Craven of Concord, North Carolina, the late Sarah (Juddie) McKinley Craven of Concord, North Carolina, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clare Sherman Ford of Coffeeville, Kansas. Ford is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a BSBA in Marketing. He is the Vice President of Craven and Company Realtors in Concord, North Carolina.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Wayne Gainous. She was attended by her sisters, Summer Brooke Dollar and Haley Gainous Mitchell, both of Thomasville, Georgia.
The groom’s father, Allen Kindel Craven, stood as best man and the groom’s cousin, John Ford Hall, of Brunswick, Maine, was groomsman.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s family and held at Ziggy’s in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
Crystal and Ford reside in Concord, North Carolina.
