The cadets of Air Force JROTC GA-9312 at Thomasville High School invite the community to participate in one of their established goals for the current academic year.

The goal is to raise $500 for a local family who needs help with transportation costs for visits for their child to and from a medical treatment facility in Atlanta.

The cadets have already received assistance in reaching their goal from two community partners. Thomas University and Petroleum Products Inc. have donated gas cards for the cadets’ fundraiser, which is a raffle drawing. One gas card, valued at $100, and four cards at $25 each, will be available for the drawing.

A single raffle ticket can be purchased by making a $1 donation. A $5 donation will receive six raffle tickets.

A $10 donation will receive 20 tickets and all donations above $10 will receive double the tickets.

The cadets believe this project can make a difference in the family’s life and also have a positive impact on those who contribute. The cadets also know how small donations can really add up, when more community members get involved. The drawing is scheduled to take place at the JROTC classroom at Thomasville High School on Friday, Dec.16. To purchase a ticket, contact any Air Force JROTC cadet or contact Thomasville High School at 225-2634 or 225-2662.
