MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Moultrie YMCA Board of Directors announced Wednesday that Lynn Hamm will serve as acting CEO following the resignation of CEO Greg Coop.
Hamm will serve in this role while the board seeks an interim CEO. She has been with the Y for 21 years in various capacities and currently serves as the CFO.

Coop, who began his tenure as CEO in January 2007, has decided to pursue other interests. Board President Mary Beth Watson thanked Coop for his service.
“We wish the best for Greg and his family as they transition into a new phase of their lives,” Watson said.
Coop thanked the board and volunteers.
“It’s been a wonderful 10 years in Moultrie. I appreciate the dedication and support of the Moultrie Y staff and volunteers. This Y is poised for great things, and is in great hands moving forward.”
An opportunity to reflect on the past and look forward to the future of the Y is just around the corner. The Moultrie Y will celebrate 100 years of serving the community with a special event on Dec. 12. The newly renovated South Campus will be the location for this event as the Y recognizes and honors those who have contributed to its success.
