Mr. Albert Hurst of Marietta announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of his daughter, Ashley Ann Hurst, to Jonathan Michael Franklin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Allen Franklin of Sandersville.

The bride-elect in the daughter of the late Debra Kirkland of Statesboro, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of Gene and Thetis Powers of St. Marks, Florida, and the late Edward Kirkland of Ochlocknee, Georgia, and the late Leon and Judy Hurst of Ochlocknee, Georgia. The groom is the grandson of the late James Lyle and Dena Pittman and the late Charles M. and Ruth Franklin, all of Sandersville.

Miss Hurst is a 2005 graduate of Statesboro High School and attended Thomas University. She is employed by Personal Finance Company in Statesboro.

Mr. Franklin is a 2006 graduate of Brentwood School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University in 2011. He is employed at Franklin Propane Gas Company in Sandersville.

The wedding is planned for November 12, 2016, at 4:30 p.m. at Gin Branch Clubhouse in Tennille, Georgia, with a reception to follow. Invitations are being sent to out-of-town guests only.
