The groom-elect is the grandson of the late J.L. and Nellie Smith and the late Henry O. Cox Sr. and the late Lois Cox Owens.

He is employed by Cone Machinery.

The wedding is at 6 p.m., Oct. 22, 2016, at the Owl and Moon Barn in Dixie.
