Services for Corene Harrison, 87, Thomasville, are at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Paradise M.B. Church, with the Rev. Cecil Strawder officiating. Burial is at Old Magnolia Cemetery. Active pallbearers are grandsons, great-grandsons and friends. Flower girls are great-granddaughters and friends. Mrs. Harrison died Friday, May 27, 2016, at her residence. She worked at Holly Hill Plantation. Born in Bainbridge on Jan. 12, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Clara Mae Scott and the Rev. George Lewis. On Nov. 11, 1944, in Quincy, Florida, she married Arrice Harrison. She was a member at Friendship before moving her membership to Paradise. She is survived by her husband, Arrice Harrison, Thomasville; daughter, Nancy Marshall, Thomasville; granddaughter, Diedrys (John) Clark, Thomasville; grandsons, Marty (Dorothy) Harrison, Arrice L. Harrison (Gloria), both of Thomasville; granddaughters, Volander Marshall (Zack Thomas), Thomasville, Catarine (Juana) Lumpkins, Centerville; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; half-brother; half-sister; sisters-in-law, Pinky Guyton, Levie Harrison; and nieces, nephews and friends. The viewing is on Friday from noon until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
