Reasons to vote for Clinton

A ranter asked for just one thing that Hillary Clinton has done to help Americans. I can give you multiple ones.
Clinton has demonstrated that she has the diplomatic skills to work with other counties to achieve peace. She negotiated a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. She has been credited with saving the signing of a Turkish-Armenian accord. She has a strategy to defeat ISIS and radical jihadism.
Clinton supports the military. She worked to expand the Family Medical Leave Act: When members of the military are wounded, their families can take leave to care for them. She cointroduced legislation that increased the size of the Army by 80,000 troops to ease the strain of war deployments to Iraq on our military. She is willing and able to work with Republicans. She demonstrated this ability in working with them to expand healthcare for National Guard members and reservists so they and their families have healthcare when they return home.
Clinton has been successful in the healthcare arena. When she was our first lady, she played a major role in creating the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, which provides healthcare coverage for millions of children in our country. She was successful in increasing research for prostate cancer and childhood asthma. When she was secretary of state, the United States expanded antiretroviral therapy to 78 countries. She has a plan to reduce the cost of prescription drugs.
When she was a senator, Clinton helped lead the effort to raise the minimum wage.
Clinton recognizes that women’s rights are human rights. She created an Office of Violence Against Women at the Department of Justice. When she was a senator, she co-sponsored the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act to help ensure equal pay for equal work. She went to the 1995 U.N. Conference on Women in Beijing and spoke up for human rights, even when others tried to discourage her from doing so.
There are many more reason to vote for Clinton, but former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright might have said it best: “I’ve never met anyone more prepared to be president.” With Clinton’s four years as secretary of state and eight years as U.S. senator, not to mention her years as first lady, that preparation seems apparent. Keep in mind that after her first day as a U.S. senator, Clinton had more political experience than Donald Trump. We need a president who can get to work on day one, not one who will go through a learning curve on politics and diplomacy.
