Memorial services for Wentworth Putnam Kindred Sr., 75, of Metcalfe, will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday March 16, 2016, at Metcalfe United Methodist Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Dan Barton will officiate. Mr. Kindred died on March 12, 2016, at his residence. Born Nov. 13, 1940, he was a son of the late James Andrew and Hazel Runyon Kindred. He was married to Patricia Taylor Kindred, who survives. Mr. Kindred worked for Industrial Boiler as a supervisor and later with Thomas University as maintance director. He served seven years in the U.S. Navy. Other survivors include sons, Wentworth Putnam Kindred Jr., and his wife, Rhonda, of Coolidge, David Patrick Kindred, of Metcalfe, Tony Lyle Kindred, and his wife, Christy, of Beachton; and a stepson, Arnold C. Fulgham, of Thomasville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Chelsea Jade Kindred, Brittany Sierra Smith, and her husband, Chris, David Patrick Kindred II, Desiree’ Nicole Phillips, and her husband, Mason, Jade Ozora Kindred; and great-grandchildren, Jasper Pinkham, Kayden Smith and Leah Ann Smith. He is also survived by sisters, Frances Kindred, of Tennessee, Nellie Miller, and her husband, Dick, of Thomasville, and Ann Scroggins, of Thomasville. Mr. Kindred was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Preston Kindred; a grandson, Christopher Scott Kindred; a brother, James Clyde Kindred; and sisters, Adelle Miller, Minnie Minor and Mary Norman.
