These are not ordinary times. Therefore, we don’t need an ordinary president.

Donald Trump is drastically different. He’s blunt and tackles issues head on instead of nibbling at them on the edges. He’ll treat our enemies the same way. He’ll be forceful against them instead of using the “pin pricks” preferred by the current commander in chief.

People need to hear the unfiltered truth about the issues confronting America. We’ve been fed the party line for decades. What did that get us? Just a mountainous pile of lies and a bigger pile of debt.

Career politicians have failed America at every turn. They have proven they can’t fix anything. Illegal immigration, the national debt, Social Security’s questionable future and energy concerns have been discussed in Washington ad nauseum for generations. It’s been all talk and no action.

I would love to have a president with a record of success who speaks from the heart and shoots from the hip over one whose every move is shaped and massaged by handlers and lobbyists.

Trump is a rich man who speaks like a poor man. He knows illegal immigrants are taking jobs that ought to go to law-abiding Americans who have been standing in unemployment lines for months or years.

A majority of Americans is rightfully disgusted with the Republican and Democrat parties and their slate of candidates. I suggest everyone give Trump, who isn’t beholden to anyone, serious consideration on March 1.
