Ollie Mae Colston Pickett was reunited with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 15, 2016. She was born on Jan. 24, 1936, in the Glasgow Community of Thomas County to the late Arrie Chester and Maddie Colston. She was the third child in a family of six siblings, Ernest Colston (Estella), Mattie Colston, and the late Bernice McKinney, Willie Colston and Johnny Colston Sr. Ollie Mae and Curtis (Bubba) Pickett were joined in holy matrimony. From this union, six beautiful children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis, and two of her children, Karen Orneice Pickett and Dallas Lane Pickett. She leaves to cherish fond memories four children, Barbara Pickett Smith (Elwin), of Augusta, Gary Louis Pickett, J.D. (Susan), of West Palm Beach, Florida; Dr. Belinda Pickett Edwards (Samuel), of Kennesaw, and Harold Dale Pickett (Angelia), of Demorest; 11 grandchildren, Elwin Kirk Smith, Jr. (LaTasha), Kimberly A. Smith, Chaundriessa Smith; Brandon D. Pickett, Marcus Pickett, Rachel Pickett; Daniel Pickett (Jessica); Karen Edwards, Nolan Edwards; Joshua Pickett, and Kaylin Pickett; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The service is at 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at Centenary Missionary Baptist Church, 1918 Grooverville Road, Boston, Georgia 31626. Viewing is from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
