Containment not the answer

In “Little Shop of Horrors,” the main character, a florist wannabe, happens upon an adorable, but strange plant from outer space. It wouldn’t eat normal plant food and it appeared on the verge of dying, but is saved when a drop of the “florist’s” blood from a pricked finger falls into its mouth, causing it to immediately perk up.
Amazing! Not only does it immediately start growing, but it now speaks, “Feed me!:” and from there, things go from bad to worse. The “florist” is drawn and wan from feeding the amazing plant his and others’ blood.
The plant has become a from-outer-space menace, threatening all humans in the shop and beyond. The horror only ends with its demise in the first version, but the version one should also note is that of the original (version) which can be viewed in 11 minutes and 47 seconds on YouTube by clicking on “Little Shop of Horrors Original Ending YouTube.”
Imagine what our lives would be like today if Hitler’s Nazis had only been “contained” until they had the atomic bomb to threaten the free world with the choice of annihilation of subjugation. And how would containment have looked to those imprisoned and being killed by the Nazis, while those valuing their own freedom, who could have freed them, dawdled, sleeping comfortably in bed with full stomaches?
ISIS, the Taliban and other such organizations who suck the last drop of blood from their enemies do not deserve to be “contained.” They deserve defeat and death; and those who in our name (our elected leaders) wish to give them time to (cancer-like) metastasize into something capable of killing us all, must go — just as Neville Chamberlain was sent packing by the British when his sour deal with Hitler for “peace in our time” (by feeding Czechoslovakia to the monster) proved that nothing short of death would defeat Hitler’s ambition for world conquest.
And “We the People” should put to rest our “Chamberlain’s” game plan by replacing him and his weak-kneed crew with those who will do the job of defeating the radical Muslims and preserving “our lives, our liberty and our sacred honor.” (The time for foot dragging is past. It died long before the first beheading.
