Services for Nora Mae Davis Cain, 87, Thomasville, are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 300 Harris St., with the Rev. Joseph Hankins officiating. Interment is at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church members. Honorray pallbearers are Louis Blanding, Jasper L. Cain Jr., Jamari Bean, Joe Cain and Lee Cain. Flower attendants will be daughters of Kelly Rose Temple #1005. A lifelong Thomas County resident, Mrs. Cain was a caregiver at Southwestern State Hospital. She was born May 24, 1927, in Boston, a daughter of the late Tom and Ellen Davis, of Thomasville. Mrs. Cain was married to Jasper Cain in Thomasville on April 11,1946. She was Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughter Ruler of the Elks and president of the Willing Workers Club. She graduated from Boston High School in 1946, and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Cain is survived by sons, James Cain, Thomasville, Jasper L. Cain Sr., Decatur; daughters, Gwendolyn Cain, Thomasville, Marsha Cain, Atlanta; granddaughter, Tangee Cain, Thomasville; grandson, Jamari Bean, Bowie, Md., Jasper L. Cain Jr., Decatur; great-granddaughters, Arianna Cain, Conyers, Tyler Smith, Cincinnati, Ohio, Kayla Cain, Thomasville, Kristen Cain, Thomasville; sisters, LaNell Glover, Altamonte Springs, Fla., LaTrell Williams, Tampa Fla.; special sister, Lottie B. Howard, Boston; special caregiver friends, Roscella Saunders, JoAnne Johnson, Paula Allen, all of Thomasville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
