Services for Mary Fallin Brinson, 80, of Thomasville are at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at First Newark Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Brooks, the Rev. Mike Keown and the Rev. Donnie Duncan will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brinson passed away Sept. 18, at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home. Born June 4, 1934 in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Ufa Howell Fallin and Cora Lee Taylor Fallin. She graduated from Pavo High School in 1952 and then received her RN Degree from Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She began her career working at Archbold Memorial Hospital and later worked for Southwestern State Hospital after 24 years of service. She was also a member of First Newark Baptist Church. She was married on Sept. 11, 1955 at Antioch Baptist Church to Malvin J. Brinson who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 2014. Other survivors include sons, Kenneth Brinson, Kerry Brinson and wife Tracie both of Thomasville; grandchildren Jason Brinson and wife Dee, Colby Brinson and wife Candice of Cartersville, Nickolas Brinson; great-grandchildren Beau Brinson, Kenley Brinson, Kaylee Brinson, Emilee Brinson; brothers and sisters, Bill Fallin and wife Gail of Pavo, Betty Duncan of Pavo, Joann DeMott of Thomasville, Faye Burgess and husband Ken of Pavo, and Peggy Fallin of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by brothers, Charlie Hoyt Fallin, James Fallin and John David Fallin and sister Helen Owens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., today at the funeral home.
