Services for Mary Louise Diggs, 79, of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., March 19, 2014, at First Unity M.B. Church where she was a member. The Rev. Charlie Ross, church pastor, will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Greg Robinson, DeWayne Diggs Jr., Matthew Simmons, Anthony Diggs, Fredric Diggs and James Diggs Jr. Mrs. Diggs died March 13 at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home. Born April 12, 1934, in Thomas County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Moses and Idella Diggs Sr. She was a dietitian and a foster grandparent. Survivors include daughter, Doretha Wilson of Thomasville; sons, James Diggs Sr. of Albany, DeWayne Diggs Sr. (Sandra) of Stone Mountain, Ga.; daughter , Dr. Lyshonda Thomas RPh of Fairburn, Ga.; brother, Charles Diggs of Thomasville; sisters, Katherine Diggs, Barbara Diggs both of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Moses Diggs Jr. of San Jose, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Delois Diggs, Sadie Diggs both of Miami, Fla.; aunt, Mary Burney; sister-in-law, Julia Diggs of Thomasville; grandchildren, Gerran Broadnax, James Diggs Jr., Jangloria Diggs, Britney Thomas, Dewandria Diggs, Courtney Diggs, Dewayne Diggs Jr., Kirsten Diggs, Tyler Diggs, Jayden Stanley; devoted friends, Nate and Helen Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
