On Tuesday, Cleaver-Brooks held a groundbreaking ceremony in Lincoln, Neb., to begin a multi-million dollar plant expansion that will create more than 40 new jobs in production, project management and engineering.

 Cleaver-Brooks’ plant in Lincoln engineers and manufacturers industrial watertube boilers for large manufacturing and industrial facilities serving the utility, global oil sands, petrochemical and heavy process industries, among others. The plant expansion will accommodate two new cranes to handle a combined capacity of up to 200 tons.

 The expansion will add about 41,000 square feet to the facility, bringing the total to about 186,000.

 “We are expanding the manufacturing capacity and making equipment and process upgrades in our Lincoln plant to meet current and future demand for our products,” said Welch Goggins, president and CEO of Cleaver-Brooks, which is headquartered in Thomasville “By making a substantial investment in this plant, we will ensure that the quality of the products we make continues to be unmatched in the industry.”

 The plant expansion is scheduled for completion in late 2014.
