Rebecca Elaine Bannister, a former Thomas County resident who entered guilty pleas to animal cruelty in May, has filed a motion to withdraw the pleas.
On the same day, her lawyer, Jason Moon, of Valdosta, filed a motion to withdraw from the case.
Both motions will be heard in State Court of Thomas County at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, at the Thomas County Judicial Center.
The motions will be heard by Judge Kelly Turner, senior State Court judge and Valdosta resident.
Bannister was charged in 2012 with 17 counts of animal cruelty. After entering pleas to two counts, Bannister was sentenced to 24 months probation, $12,000 restitution and surrender of paperwork on seized animals within 10 days.
