Services for Calvin Earl Daniel, 67, of Panama City Beach, Fla., are at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Eastside Baptist Church, Cairo. The Rev. Paul Jones will officiate. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery, Iron City.  Mr. Daniel passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at the Gulf Coast Veterans Hospital in Biloxi, Miss. Active pallbearers will be Bruce Bishop, Winton Godwin, Frank Pritchett, Dennis Cain, Joe Knight II and Don Hancock. Honorary pallbearer will be Marty Kuntz. Mr. Daniel was born in Pelham, on Jan. 28, 1945, to Willie Atwood Lane and the late Lillie Mae Herring Lane. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from AT&T as a central office manager. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Daniel Kuntz and Marty Kuntz of Island Lake, Ill.; a son, Robert Earl “Bobby” Daniel of Las Vegas, Nev.; father, Atwood Lane of Cairo; granddaughter, Jessica Daniel of Island Lake, Ill.; brother and sister-in-law, John and Barbara Daniel of Columbia, S.C.; nieces, Alyssa Harrison of Columbia, S.C., Erin Bielski of Chicago, Ill., Ashley Daniel of Peekskill, N.Y., and Erica Daniel of Columbia, S.C. Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Lane.
