James Joseph Kirkley

James Joseph Kirkley, 100, Albany, Ga., died Sunday, July 31, 2011. Mr. Kirkley was born in Augusta, Aug. 19, 1910 and had lived in Albany for many years. He was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church since 1956, and was a member of the Alpha Sunday School Class. Mr. Kirkley retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany in 1975. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anamae Stalnaker Kirkley. Mr. Kirkley is survived by two sons, Carl Kirkley, Atlanta and Pat Kirkley and his wife Marilyn, Thomasville; a sister, Virginia George, Americus; grandchildren, Jimmy Kirkley, Mathew Kirkley, Stephen Kirkley and his wife Nicole, Talia King and her husband Travis; and one great-grandchild, Elliot King.
