Trio in indicted in teen’s 2010 death

Indictments have been returned on three males charged with the July 2010 shooting death of a Florida teenage boy spending the summer with his father in Thomasville.

Christopher Crumbry Jr., 15, died in the 800 block of Fletcher Street about 11 on a night in late July. He was shot in the head while walking away from a relative’s house in the 700 block of Fletcher. Crumbry was en route to his father’s house a couple of blocks away.
The youth was to return to his Orlando, Fla., home several days later.
Residents of the area heard three shots and found the dead teen lying in grass on the Fletcher right of way.
Indicted on charges of felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony are:
• Dezmond Lamar Lovejoy, 21, 409 Peach St.
• Jalen Rauls, 17, 4024 Johnson St., Meigs

The suspects, who were arrested within days of the shooting death, remain in the Thomas County Jail. Jones was denied bond. Rauls and Lovejoy are being held in lieu of $250,000 bonds each.

• Patrick Spaulding — Aggravated assault, giving false information to a law enforcement officer.
