Services for Jerry Lee Jones Sr. , 59, are 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at New White Spring M.B. Church in Cairo. Rev. Walter Pitman, pastor, and Rev. Ambers Glenn Jr. will officiate and interment will follow in White Springs Cemetery. He was born in Calvary to the late Sadie Mae Jones and the late John Gurley Jr. He was a graduate of Washington Consolidated High School. Mr. Jones served in the United States Army and was a member of St. Calvary M.B. Church. He died Oct. 12, 2010, at his residence. Survivors include daughters, Topreka Jones-Black (Lynn) of Tallahassee, Fla., and Jereia Jones-Scott (Kevin) of San Antonio, Texas; son, Jerry Jones Jr. of Tallahassee; sisters, Peggie Sue Jackson (George) and Glenda Glenn of Cairo; brothers, James Jones Sr. and Ronnie Glenn Sr., both of Cairo; eight grandchildren; and, a host of brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. — Weston’s Funeral Home
