Services for Frances Viola Curry, 59, of Thomasville, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Douglass Middle School cafeteria. The Rev. Henry L. Mathis will officiate and interment is in Boston Cemetery. Pallbearers are Alfred Smith, Charles Samuel, Richard Samuel, Tommy Samuel, Robert Samuel and Timothy Samuel. Ms. Curry died Sept. 26 at Archbold Hospital. Born Dec. 25, 1950, in Thomas County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Peter Curry and Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Samuel (Johnnie Mae). She was a graduate of Douglass High School and a private duty CNA. Survivors include sisters, Christine Williams, Maxine Coasey (Curtis), Teresa Samuel, Cynthia Samuel all of Thomasville, Essie Moore (Kenneth) of Valdosta, Angela Bryant (Clarence), Barbara Sneed all of Boston; brothers, Alfred Samuel (Jackie) of Thomasville, Charles Samuel of Valdosta, Tommy Samuel (Melinda) of Orlando, Fla., Timothy Samuel (Carla) of Baton Rouge, La., Richard Samuel (Shulonda) of Boston, Robert Samuel (Carol) of Atlanta; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Barbara McCollum and the ICU staff at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The viewing is from noon to 8:30 p.m., today and from 10 a.m. until the funeral with no viewing after the euology Saturday at the cafeteria.
