Patricia Anne Pollock

A private graveside funeral service for Patricia Anne Pollock, 66, of Albany, Ga., is at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomas County. A celebration of life service follows at 2 p.m. at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany. The Rev. Michael Catt and the Rev. Jim McBride will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Exchange Club of Albany and the ordained staff at Sherwood. Mrs. Pollock died Dec. 8. A native of Savannah, Mrs. Pollock grew up in Meigs and graduated from Pelham High School in 1961. She had lived in Albany since 1970 moving from Atlanta. Mrs. Pollock was a graduate of Darton College and Georgia Southwestern University, where she received her degree in early childhood education. She taught kindergarten at Sherwood Christian School and initiated the kindergarten program at Sunnyside Baptist Church. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and taught the Agape Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Tom Pollock of Albany, Ga.; two sons, Thomas H. (Tommy) Pollock Jr. and his wife, Nan of Albany, Michael D. Pollock of Atlanta; two daughters, Lisa Ryan and her husband, Todd of Marietta, Cindy Yost and her husband Ted of Maitland, Fla.; five grandchildren, Todd Ryan Jr., Hannah Yost, Patrick Yost, Stephen Yost and Abigail Yost.
