Services for Evans Jerome Pollock, 51, of Pelham, are 2 p.m. Monday at Union Grove Baptist Church in Pelham. Rev. Doug Hall, Rev. Steve Wooten and Rev. Wayne Burdeshaw will officiate and interment is in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Robin Willis, Terry Willis, Kirk Pollock, Jason Santos, Mark Humphries, Bradley Pollock, Dillon Bentley and Mikie Newsome. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of Union Grove Baptist Church. Pollock was born Sept. 18, 1958, in Mitchell County to parents, the late Hubert and Mary Jane Poitevint Pollock. He was a manager of Stone’s Home Center in Camilla and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Pollock was a Gideon and a church deacon. He died Sept. 19, 2009, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Bentley Pollock of Pelham; sons, Phillip Pollock and wife Brooke, and Josh Pollock, all of Pelham; daughter, Kandi Harden and husband David of Pelham; grandchildren, Drew Harden, Kole Harden and Danyelle Pollock, all of Pelham; brothers, J.C. Pollock and wife Jessie of Camilla and Winifred Pollock and wife Debbie of Leesburg; sisters, Dianna Humphries and husband Charles of Camilla and Cindy Hurst and husband Stan of Pelham; and, numerous nieces and nephews.
