“Many thanks to everyone at the Pebble Hill Old Fashioned Day Camp. My daughters had so much fun they didn’t realize how much they were learning. In these times of go, go, go, TV, Internet, etc., it was nice to see them slow down and just be kids and enjoy this wonderful local treasure. Ya’ll did an awesome job and we can’t wait until next year.”
“Thanks for everyone’s help with the Joe Burns and Paul Miranda football camp. the kids really appreciated it.”
“Let me be sure I understand: The ranter in Tuesday’s Rant and Rave would like law enforcement officers to cite litters and make them pick up the litter?”
“Summerhill is not safe for adults to walk on a Saturday night. Why are you writing a rant and rave instead of the police? This was neglect.”
“If you don’t like the parking on the 400 block of Crawford Street, pick another route. Both Dawson and Broad are available for your use.”
“Latest polls show that the demographic group that is leaving the GOP in the greatest numbers is the well educated. This explains why most Republicans don’t believe in global warming. They are experiencing an Ice Age that may well lead them down the path of the dinosaur.”
“What is sickening is that Obama and his bunch of modern Democrats would have never fought Germany and Japan to stop the spread of facism. As they do today, they would have to blame America and justified Germany and Japan’s actions.”
“Congratulations to Lavon Shiver on the FBI academy. He deserves it and it couldn’t happen to a better guy.”
“Congratulations to Chelsea Brown. She recently attended the GCCPA cow show in Nicholls, Ga. and won reserve in showmanship and had the reserve champion steer.”
“I respect my flag, and I would also like to rave about the two young men who wrote the article on the rules for displaying our flag. We need more fine young men. Great job, ROTC, young men.
“The residents who live on Clanton Street sure would love a traffic light at the Remington Avenue intersection and a turning light on the Jackson Street intersection. Clanton Street is a big short cut for people and it takes forever to get on or off our street.”
