Services for Willard Paul “Snooty” Dalton Sr., 80, of Pavo, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Harrell-Faircloth Chapel in Moultrie. Interment is in Lebenon Cemetery in Pavo. Pallbearers are Derrick Dalton, Doug Alligood, Paul Folsom, Natasha Siddell, John Siddell and Garland Dalton. Honorary pallbearers are Dalton Alligood, Marie Dalton and Sean Paul Siddell. Mr. Dalton died May 5 at his residence. Born April 16, 1929, in Attapulgus, he was a son of the late Willie Paul Dalton Sr. and Eva Marie Payne Dalton. He was married to Judy Weaver Dalton who preceded him in death. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Pavo, an insurance salesman and served in the U.S. Marines. Survivors include daughters, Garland Cherie Dalton of Pavo, Tabitha Marie Alligood of Moultrie, Stephaine Whidden of Bushnell, Fla.; sons, Tony Dalton of Columbus, Ohio, Allen Dalton of Moultrie, Paul Dalton of Live Oak, Fla.; brothers, Lloyd Dalton of Sylvester, Bailey Dalton of Ontario, Canada; sisters, Ann Davis of Albany, Nancy Belcher of Montgomery, Ala.; grandchildren, Natasha Siddell, Derrick Dalton, Marie Dalton, Dalton Alligood, Maria Teresa Burton, Paul “Packy” Dalton, Ashely Whidden; special friend, Ouida “Weda” Milam of Moultrie; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Willard Paul “Billy” Dalton Jr.; and a sister, Willie Pearl Short. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today. — Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home
