Graveside services for Joe Norman Jackson, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., May 9, 2008, at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville. The Rev. William Banks will officiate. Mr. Jackson died May 5 at Triad Nursing Home. Born June 1, 1905, in Grady County, he was the son of the late Washington Jackson and Clara Anderson. He married Mary Davis, who preceded him in death, in Thomas County. He attended Douglass Elementary School and was a member of Clifford Temple CME Church. He was employed by Atlantic Coast Railroad, Flowers Baking Co. and Sunnyland Packing Co. Survivors include a daughter, Emily Jackson Simmons of Thomasville; grandson, Ray V. Simmons of Thomasville; cousin, Eula Revels of Thomasville; sister, Maple Jackson Boone of Jacksonville, Fla.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
