Alice Faye Montgomery died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at her home in Cairo. Services will be held 4 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Pearson will officiate. Pallbearers are Roger Chason, Mark Pollock, Foster Cox, Ronald Sellers, Robbie Pollock and Jeffrey Chason. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Mrs. Montgomery was born Feb. 4, 1944, in Mitchell County to Jake and Laura Bell Gunn Chason. She was a homemaker and member of Our Father’s House. Mrs. Montgomery was dearly loved by her family, which she cherished, especially the grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Davette Bennett and husband, Timmy of Cairo and Terry DeWayne Pearson of Cairo; grandchildren, Blake Pearson, Allison Montgomery, Caleb Johns and Jacob Johns; sisters, Geneva Yotas and husband James, Deleta Sellers and husband Ronald, Dean Cox and husband Foster; brothers: Jimmy Chason and wife Rita, Roger Chason and wife Sherry, Ronnie Chason and wife Bobbie, Junior Chason, Kent Chason, Ray Chason, Ralph Chason and wife Pat, Barry Chason and wife Shirley and special friend, Patricia Harrell.
