THOMASVILLE — Thomasville responded to a closed U.S. 19 South business late Wednesday night and arrested a man they saw leaving Lowe’s.

The man, later identified as Perry Cooper, 31, 24 Tall Timbers Drive, told police he was a security guard at the business.

Upon further investigation, officers learned Cooper had broken into the store and was stealing power hand tools, said Sgt. Ricky Singletary, Thomasville Police Department public information officer.

Cooper is charged with burglary.
