Joseph Virgil Crumidy Sr.

Services for Joseph Virgil Crumidy Sr., 53, 1009 N. Stevens St., Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Second Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Earl Williams Jr. will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are members of the Thomasville High School class of 1971. Mr. Crumidy died Jan. 5 at Archbold Hospital. Born Aug. 27, 1953, in Thomasville, he was a son of Joseph V. Crumidy and Roline Jones Crumidy. He was married to Debbie Dorella Camage. He was a graduate of Thomasville High School, Northwestern and Southwest Georgia Technical College. He received a degree in air conditioning technology/mechanic. He was a purchasing agent/maintenance. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Thomasville. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Dorella Crumidy of Thomasville; daughter, Celeste E. Crumidy of Thomasville; son, Joseph Virgil Crumidy Jr. of Thomasville; daughter, Debra Kathleen Crumidy of Thomasville; stepsno, Habakkuk Zephaniah Carnage of Thomasvile; sister, Annie Bell Crumidy of Thomasville; brothers, Jerome Jones (Edna) of Thomasville, Richard Dunlap Sr. (Elizabeth) of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandson, Keshawn Xavier Crumidy of Thomasville; granddaughter, Brianna La’tra Crumidy of Thomasville; grandson, Daterrius Debrail Adams of Thomasville; mother-in-law, Evelyn Bryant of Thomasville; nephews, Christopher A. Crumidy, Carlton A. Crumidy both of Thomasville; eight nieces; eight grandnieces; four great-grandnieces; six nephews; seven grandnephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Charlie Mae Miller

Services for Charlie Mae Miller, 102, of Barwick are at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Don Prevatt will officiate and interment is in Rosewood Cemetery in Barwick. Mrs. Miller died Thursday, Jan. 11 in Thomasville. Born April 12, 1904, in Brooks County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie O. Brice and Effie Redding Brice. On Dec. 16, 1928, in Brooks County, she married James Luther Miller who preceded her in death in October of 1962. She was a retired clerk from the United States Post Office and a member of Barwick Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Madeira Glenn and husband, Joel of Thomasville; granddaughters, Sherry Monk and husband, Malvin, Sonya Godwin and husband, Buck all of Thomasville; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James Edward Miller. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home. — Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home



Eunice Mae Mitchell

Services for Eunice Mae Mitchell, 84, 257 Roger Rd., Thomasville, are at 2:30 p.m., Jan. 14, 2007, at St. Paul M.B. Church, 1668 U.S. Hwy 319 N, Thomasville. The Rev. Andrew Anderson and Elder Alfred Smith will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are grandsons. Mrs. Mitchell died Jan. 9 at her residence. Born March 18, 1922, in Thomas County she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Patient Simmons. She was a member of Sweetfield M.B. Church, a homemaker and was married to Charlie Mitchell. Survivors include a son, Lewis C. Mitchell (Betty) of Thomasville; daughter, Lucy M. Spralding (Elder Lee) of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Alberta Mitchell of Thomasville; six grandsons; eight granddaughters; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Services for Annie Rosser, 95, 107 Carroll St., Thomasville, are at 3 p.m., Jan. 13, 2007, at Life, Power, Praise Apostolic Church. Pastor Kevin Harrison will officiate and interment is in Northside Cemetery in Ochlocknee. Mrs. Rosser died Jan. 9 at Archbold Hospital. Born Nov. 11, 1927, in Thomas County, she was a daughter of the late Bob and Alice Jones. She worked at Sunnyland Packing Co. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Ann Moody of Thomasville; son, Robert Lee Rosser Jr. of Thomasville; daughter-in-law, Mary Rosser of Thomasville; grandsons, Derrick Moody (Janice), Anthony Moody all of Thomasville; granddaughter, Tangla Reynolds (Guy) of Thomasville; grandson, Stevie Moody of Moultrie; granddaughters, Stephanie Rosser of Thomasville, Teya Rosser of Columbus; grandson, Robert Rosser III of Thomasville; step-sister, Rebecca King of Thomasville; sisters-in-law, Ruby Gaskin, Martha Dickson both of Thomasville; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Ellinor Willene Pendergast Watkins

Services for Ellinor Willene Pendergast Watkins of Thomasville are at 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Steve Wooten will officiate and interment is in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Watkins died Friday, Jan. 12 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. Born Aug. 26, 1934, in Grady County, she was a daughter of the late John Raford Pendergast and Theatis Wade. On Nov. 23, 1963, in Grady County, she married Walter Lamar Watkins who preceded her in death. She attended Ochlocknee School and was a homemaker. Survivors include daughters, Deborah B. McAnally of Tallahassee, Fla., Patrisha Graham of Thomasville; son, Johnny Watkins of Thomasville; sisters, Faye Tuten, Deloris Carlton both of Thomasville; brothers, W.L. Pendergast of St. Petersburg, Fla., Charles Pendergast of Thomasville; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
