Deaths for March 30, 2006

Agnes Walker Davis, 96, of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Latrelle Kirkland of Fitzgerald, and a sister, Elsie Taylor of Fitzgerald. Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.

Jesus Rivera, 49, of Tifton, died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Bobby Ann Rivera of Tifton; a son, Ritchie B. Woods of Tifton; two daughters, Lekesha Warren and Shamika Warren, both of Tifton; six brothers, Marcos Rivera, Iran Rivera, Louisano Rivera, Renaldo Rivera, Quentin Rivera and Noel Rivera; and four sisters, Violet Rivera, Madenlyn Rivera, Midalia Rivera and Ana Rivera. Southview Mortuary, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Joe Alexander, 48, of Tifton, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at her residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Southview Mortuary.

Wayne Allen St. John, 57, of Tifton, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors—Tiftarea Chapel.

Willie B. Worth, 92, of Chula, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Lafayette Health Care Center in Mayo, Fla. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Melton Funeral Home.

Walter Stuart “Walt” Jackson Sr., 61, of Turner County, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, in Turner County. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mathis Grove Baptist Church in Lenox. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Ashburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Vincent “Rick” Nier, 57, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at his residence. A praise and worship service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Rita A. Nier of Fitzgerald; a son, Richard Vincent “Rick” Jr. of Winona Lake, Ind.; two daughters, Robin Suzanne Eason of Fitzgerald and Rebecca Ann “Becky” Littlefield of Albany; his mother, Eliza A. Nier of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Henry Frank “Hank” Nier Jr.; a sister, Loretta Tipton of Fort Myers, Fla. Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
