A godsend
“I went to outpatient Wednesday morning and I want to thank the young lady who gave me so much encouragement and for the service that she gave me. She is a godsend. God bless you. Thank you so much.”
Clean up there too
“I was reading the paper today about Tifton residents ought to help clean the city up of old appliances, cars, tires, etc. I live in Enigma and this is an eyesore to ride around and see all this stuff, appliances and cars and stuff, in the yard.”
Wonderful attitude
“I would like to leave a rave for Rhonda Green in the patient access department at Tift Regional Hospital. She is nice and so friendly and she can make a dreary hospital visit turn into a bright and wonderful day. This is to say thank you for her attitude and her caring personality for every patient that I have seen come through there. I have seen her do a lot of people and she is that way with everybody.”
Partisan politics?
“I applaud anyone who is willing to step up and run for public office! But tell me please, what does being a Republican or a Democrat have to do with local city and county commission or board of education races?”
Smoky scene
“Who is responsible for enforcing the no-smoking ban in Tift County? Who should complaints go to? I went to a convenience store last night to pay for gas and came out smelling as if I had been in a bar for hours. Ughhh!”
Jason for president
“This is a rave about Jason Rooks at Colony Bank on Second Street. He is the greatest! Jason is always ready to help and is very dedicated to his job. He is friendly and very helpful. I nominate Jason for bank president!! Thanks for your hard work! Job well done! Tifton’s best banker!”
Patches don’t last
“It appears that Tift County is going to continue to neglect two of its most traveled roadways – Carpenter Road and Rainwater Road – as they degrade to just a continuous series of potholes and worse. Something has to be done, soon! Patches don’t last.”
Who will?
“Feminism, with its ‘daycare,’ is the most damaging fraud ever perpetrated on the American family. If YOU mothers don’t love your children enough to give them 110% of your time, WHO do you think will?”
Done deal
“Why is everyone getting so upset now about Arabs looking after our port security? The Chinese have had control of the Long Beach., Calif., port for years. We’ve been sold out, Americans, sorry you’re just waking up to this fact. Ho humm, go back to sleep!”
Be patient
“In response to handicap parking, I am handicapped with my back and legs. I have some days that are great but others I can barely walk. I do not use the space if it is a good day, but on the bad ones I do and I can walk. So just because someone is walking into a store does not mean they do not have a handicap. Pain is very much a part of some people’s everyday life. Be patient with people and don’t judge the package by what you see. You do not know the whole story!
