Where's the chief?

Why can Boston find a police chief in 30 days, and Thomasville takes eight months? The Thomasville police chief retired Dec. 31.
Ad TV schedule
We need to publish a Sunday TV schedule in the paper like the ones we print everyday of the week.
Who taught ’em?
Who do they think taught attorneys and doctors?
Danner right on
Phil Danner was right on. Teachers are in as much danger today as police officers.
More respect
Police officers and teachers do not get the respect they deserve. Make a difference be a teacher.
More work
Teachers now work 12 hours a day with no paraprofessional and have less vacation time than ever.
Tests not fair
Crossword tests are not fair to college students. Standardized tests need to be given at Thomas University.
Clean them up
Some of the hospitals and nursing homes need to clean up.
Band numbers 135
There’s 135 members in the Thomasville High School band.
Store’s good deed
Thanks to the community service manager at Harvey’s on East Jackson Street for cashing my mother’s check so could get a few groceries. Shame on another grocery store that wouldn’t cash it.
$50 for an aspirin
I can’t believe hospitals charge $50 for an aspirin.
Move the Y
I’m an adult Milton YMCA member. I want to see the adult section be included in the new Y facilities being built off Remington. It would be nice to see my dues money being spent on something new without it smelling like mildew.
Under one roof
All the Y facilities need to be under one roof. The old facility is crowded.
Wrong emphasis
The young police officer who was killed should have gotten the front page, not the two boys who were killed.
Repair the tracks
The city council and the county commission should see to it that the CSX railroad tracks are repaired and stop destroying our cars.
Vandals protected?
Why can’t a reward be offered to help catch the person driving around shooting mail boxes? A privacy fence had a baseball size hole shot in it. Three deputies came out to investigate and said the kids just get bored. A description of the truck was given and four shotgun shells were found and turned in. Is someone being protected?
