THOMASVILLE — Within two hours of a Thomasville police officer contacting New Jersey authorities about a forgery suspect, the individual was in jail.

Nicole Cherelle Underwood, 34, Pine Hill Trailer Park, Thomasville, remains in jail in New Jersey on charges of fighting and robbery. She will be prosecuted for New Jersey offenses before returning to Thomasville to face numerous forgery counts.

The suspect was out of jail on bond in a Thomasville car-theft case when police learned from a relative she might be at a friend’s house in Long Branch, N.J. The relative provided an address.
