Inge Martha Bolling Harris

Graveside services for Inge Martha Bolling Harris are at 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Marshall Singletary will officiate. Mrs. Harris died Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born April 5, 1938 in Leipzig, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Otto Bolling and Martha Freiwalden Bolling. She was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and owned and operated her own beauty salon. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Joe McMurray of Thomasville; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Saundra Harris of Thomasville; grandchildren, Heather McMurray and Noah Harris both of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy McMurray. Dazzie J. Miley

Services for Dazzie J. Miley, 97, of Cairo, are at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. A.C. Gilliard and the Rev. Stacy Williams will officiate and interment is in Long Branch Cemetery in Cairo. Active pallbearers are grandsons, Charlie Clark, Richard Ferrell, David Ferrell, Terry Ferrell, Larry Ferrell and Ricky Ferrell. Mrs. Miley died Dec. 10 at Hospitality Care in Thomasville. Born Oct. 19, 1906 in Crisp County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Fannie Wright James. She was married to Claude Lee Ferrell who preceded her in death on July 22, 1942 and later married John David Miley who preceded her in death on March 3, 1993. She was a homemaker and a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Julia Clark of Havana, Fla.; a son, Albert Lee Ferrell of Cairo; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Bennett of Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. — Clark Funeral Home



Cecil “C.W.” Rauls Sr.

Services for Cecil “C.W.” Rauls, 70, of Meigs are at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at Morningstar Missinonary Baptist Church. Elder Jimmy Simmons, will officiate, the Rev. Estelle Arrington is pastor, and interment is in Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Mr. Rauls died Dec. 4 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born April 17, 1933 in Thomas County. He was retired assistant chief of the Meigs Police Department and a member of St. Beulah Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Verna Chatman Rauls of Meigs; seven children, Edra L. Rauls (Jessie Lee) of New Haven, Conn., Cecil Rauls Jr., Janice D. Rauls, Edward Rauls (Florella) of Meigs, Evelyn Nixon (Wade) of Ochlocknee, Harold Rauls (Sarah) of Meigs, Eileen E. Jenkins (John) of Lakeland; a brother, E.W. Rauls of Meigs; two sisters-in-law, Janie Rauls of Meigs, Willa Mansfield of Patterson, N.J.; an aunt, Thelma Rauls of Meigs; godchildren, Charles and Dorothy Wimes of Meigs; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a devoted friend, Willie J. Ivey of Coolidge; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. — Nathaniel Thomas and Son Home for Funerals



James Irvin Reichert

Graveside services for James Irvin Reichert, 66, of Quitman, are at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 in Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmie Cone and the Rev. Jay Watkins officiating. Mr. Reichert died Tuesday, Dec. 9 at his residence. Born in Thomas County, he was the son of Irvin Lester and Eunice Leona Ward Reichert. He moved to Brooks County in 1962 where he worked as a banker for many years and retired from American Banking Co. He was a member of Quitman United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Georgia Reichert of Quitman; two daughters, Susan (Gene) West of Quitman, Sandra (Jay) Watkins of Valdosta; one son who is proudly serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Russell (Robin) Reichert of Portsmouth, Va.; six grandchildren, Austin and Andrew West, Daniel Reichert, Faith and Grace Watkins, Hope Watkins; his mother, Eunice Dew of Thomasville; a brother, Danny Reichert of Ochlocknee; two nieces, Danica (Ben) Willis, Brittany Reichert both of Thomasville; four nephews, Bruce Taylor, Terry, Craig and Audie Bishop; and many loving friends and relatives.
