Debra S. Bradshaw
Services for Debra S. Bradshaw, 43, Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., Sept. 3, 2005 at House of Joy where she was a member. The Rev. Verbertha Tillis, church pastor, will officiate and interment is in Boston Cemetery in Boston. Active pallbearers are David Green, Tony Williams, Freddie Doss, Michael Laing, Terry Fielder and Frederick Anderson. Mrs. Bradshaw died Aug. 25 at Archbold Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mary L. Jones and married to Wadell Bradshaw who survives. She was disabled. Other survivors include daughters, Monica Lovejoy, Latoya (Clinton) Nixson, Lashun Patterson, Jennifer (Benjamin) Ross, Erica Patterson, Courtney Patterson all of Thomasville; sons, Jerome Patterson Jr., Ryan Patterson all of Thomasville; sisters, Betty Wilson of Boston, Carolyn (Arthur) Albrittion of Valdosta, Patricia Davis of Boston, Mary (Raymond) Crawford of Valdosta; brothers, Randy Jones of Boston, Willie Jones of Florida; dear devoted friend, Jerome Patterson Sr. of Thomasville; brothers, Johnny Lovette, Jessie Lovette, Thomas Lovette, Zell Lovette; sisters, Susan Lovette, Dean Lovette; three aunts; three uncles; 12 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The viewing is from noon to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home and from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the church. Frank James Goosby Jr.
Services for Frank James Goosby Jr., 58, 111 5th Ave., Thomasville, are at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 1215 Magnolia St., Thomasville. The Rev. Emory C. Virgil, pastor officiating, and interment is in Old Magnolia Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Edward Spaulding, Lindsay Battle, Jerome Smith, Barry Mitchel, Zeke Battle, Edward Linton and Bennie Cox. Honorary pallbearers are members of American Legion Post 519. Mr. Goosby died Aug. 31 at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, Fla. Born May 25, 1947 in Thomasville, he was a son of Gussie Battle Murray and the late Frank James Goosby Sr. He was a 1967 graduate of Douglass High School and member of American Legion 519 in Thomasville. A brick mason, he was a lifelong resident of Thomasville, served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. His extraordinary masonry skills and artistry were well-known in Thomasville and the surrounding communities. Survivors include his mother, Gussie Battle Murray of Thomasville; sons, Sheddrick Bradley of Orlando, Gerald (Leslie) Goosby of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughters, Debra Gresham, Andrea Goosby of Tallahassee, Bridget Goosby of Atlanta; sisters, Betty Filmore of Brooklyn, Keesha (Bennie) Cox of Meigs; grandsons, Benjamin Bradley, Brandon Bradley both of Orlando,, Ramsey Williams, Cameron Goosby of Cairo; granddaughters, Bridget Adams of Ocala, Fla., Yvonne Thorn, Kayla Haile of Orlando, Alexis Gresham, India Goosby of Tallahassee; aunt, Ruth Brown of Eureka, Calif.; nephew, Richard Filmore of Wichita, Kan.; and many other cousins, neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank James Goosby Sr.; and brother, Donald Goosby. Memorials may be made to Veterans Express Bus, 101 S. Broad St., Thomasville, Ga. 31792. The viewing is from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until the services Saturday at the church. John R. Harris
Services for John R. Harris are noon, Sept. 3, 2005 at Early County High School in Blakely. Interment follows at Green Cemetery in Blakely. Active pallbearers are friends of the family. Mr. Harris died Aug. 30. Born in Blakely, he was a son of the late Rufus and Charlie Mae Harris. He attended Albany State University, member of the Rotary Club and Green Cemetery Club. At Calvary Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he was a member, he was an elder. He graduated from Albany State University with bachelor and master’s degree in science. He was a retired school principal and lived all his life in Blakely. Survivors include his son, Michael Harris of Detroit, Mich.; daughter, Cheryl Harris of Illinois; son, Wayne Harris of Atlanta; sisters, Nellie Hammonds of Thomasville, Mary Jackson of Maryland; brothers, James Harris of Ozark, Ala., Benny Harris of Ocala, Fla., Eugene Harris of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sisters, Ruth Washington of Blakely, Annette Bullard of Albany; brother-in-law, the Rev. Bennie Williams Jr.
Services for Bennie Williams Jr., 42, Thomas County, are at 11 a.m., Sept. 3, 2005 at Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. C.D. Williams will officiate. Mr. Williams died Aug. 27 at Pinewood Nursing Center. Born July 30, 1963 in Palm Beach County, Fla., he was the son of Mattie F. Williams and the late Bennie Williams Sr. On July 7, 1980, he married Mary Frances Presley, who survives, of Pavo. He was a resident of Hollywood, Fla., before moving back to Georgia. He attended Central High School. Other survivors include a daughter, Bridget Flounory of Pavo; sons, Bennie Williams III of Thomasville, Jaquan Bush of Delray Beach, Fla.; mother, Mattie F.
