Tracy Jermaine Linton
Services for Tracy Jermaine Linton, 20, 911 Metcalf-Beachton Rd., Beachton, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2002 at First Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 715 Broadnax St., Thomasville. The Rev. Charlie Ross pastor officiating and interment is in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Beachton. Active pallbearers are family members. Mr. Linton died May 10 in Thomasville. Born Aug. 21, 1981 in Thomas County, he was a son of Virginia and the Rev. Jackie Hargrow. He attended Scott Elementary and MacIntyre Park Middle School, a Thomasville resident for 20 years and a member of First Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Virginia Hargrow; his father, the Rev. Jackie L. Hargrow both of Thomasville; sisters, Yaslyn Linton Donald of Cairo, Carla A. Linton, Janay P. Davis both of Thomasville; a brother, Jamil R. Hargrow of Thomasville; a brother-in-law, Benjamin Donald of Cairo; aunts, Lessie Sanford of Philadelphia, Pa., Bennie Mae Scott of Oklahoma, Doaries (Jerome) Smith, Georgiann Johnson (L.M.) both of Thomasville; uncles, the Rev. and Mrs. Albert Linton of Oklahoma, Edward (Jean) Linton of Cairo, Ben Linton Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa., Walter (Gail) Linton of Thomasville; great aunt, Daisy (Harrison) Denson of Valdosta; three nieces; and a host of cousins, family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Linton will be placed in the church Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the service for viewing. — Hadley’s Funeral Home
Mary Nell Ross
Services for Mary Nell Ross, 73, 210 Vine St., Thomasville, are at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2002 at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, 232 Mt. Nebo Lane, Pine Park. The Rev. Kenneth Fleming pastor officiating and interment is in Mt. Nebo M.B. Church cemetery. Active pallbearers are her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Ross died May 12 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born June 4, 1928 in Grady County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Joe and Mattie Brown. She was a housewife and lived in Thomasville for 60 years. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Park and attended Payne Academy School in Grady County. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Sallie M. Trotter of Thomasville; sons, Willie G. Trotter, Charles Ross both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; stepdaughters, Christine Duncan, Mary E. Thomas both of Ochlocknee, Mary L. Thomas, Elizabeth Russell both of Thomasville, Gloria Taylor of Woodbridge, Va.; a stepson, Willie Taylor of Atlanta; granddaughter, Mona Hayes of Thomasville; a grandson, Charles Trotter of Thomasville; aunt, Nell Gilbert; 35 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The processional will assemble at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. — Hadley’s Funeral Home
