Douglas Roy Angelo

Graveside services for Douglas Roy Angelo of Barwick are at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Boston City Cemetery in Boston. The Rev. Douglas Harvey will officiate. Mr. Angelo died Tuesday, May 4 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 18, 1963 in Tallahassee, Fla., he was a son of Paul R. Angelo Jr. and Ann Lingo Angelo. He was a 1982 graduate of Thomasville High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Georgia State University. He attended Boston United Methodist Church and was a member of the Quitman Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include his parents, Paul R. Angelo Jr. and Ann Lingo Angelo of Boston; three brothers, Michael Troy Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Danny Paul Angelo of Valdosta, Robert Alan Angelo of West Point, Ohio; aunts and uncles, Charles and Linda Lingo of Tallahassee, Fla., Robert and Barbara Angelo of New Jersey; nieces, Crystal Lynn Robinson of Atlanta and Rachel Lynn Angelo of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances M. Griffin, Lucius Lingo, Paul R. Angelo Sr. and Metilda Angelo. Alvin P. Middleton

Graveside services for Alvin P. Middleton, 84, were at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park. Mr. Middleton died Wednesday, April 28. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps and a manager for Alford Brothers Clothing Store. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Wharton (husband David) of Thomasville, Susan Harrison of St. Augustine, Fla.; a sister, Hattie Garcia of Bartow, Fla.; sister-in-law, Martha Middleton, widow of Earl; a beloved brother, Charlie Middleton (wife Dorothy Ann) of Tallahassee; five grandchildren, Debbie, Andrew, Daniel and Matthew Wharton and Chris Krava. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Irene; his son, Robert Middleton; and two brothers, Earl and Robert Middleton. — Culley’s Funeral Home



James A. Moore

Services for James A. Moore, 97, of Cairo are at 2 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2004 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. Keith Hill will officiate and interment is in Greenwood Mausoleum in Cairo. Active pallbearers are Charlie Cooper, Chuck Stafford, Travis Robbins, Robert Long, Sonny Marshall and Van Ponder. Mr. Moore died Tuesday, May 4 at Camellia Gardens in Thomasville. Born July 25, 1906 in Suwannee, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James A. Moore II. He was married to Reba Pinson Moore who preceded him in death on Jan. 6, 1993. He was a World War II veteran, a farmer and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors incllude his sister, Christine Kivette of Atlanta; nieces, Mary Betts of Brandon, Fla., Harriett Willis of LaGrange, Beverly Cliett of Tallahassee, Fla., Susan Danner of Atlanta, Mary Bell of Atlanta and Virginia Griffin of Augusta. — Clark Funeral Home
