Belle Voyles Boyett

Services for Belle Voyles Boyett, 89, Cairo, are at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2001 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Calvary. The Rev. Dr. Jimmy Voyles and the Rev. Billy Kimbrel will officiate and interment is in Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo. Mrs. Boyett died Tuesday, Aug. 14 in Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. Born April 20, 1912 in Bishop, she was a daughter of the late William Coleman and Margaret Blondine Eldrod Voyles. She was married on Sept. 28, 1938 to John Robert Boyett who preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1978. She was a longtime resident of Cairo, member of Calvary United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Evelyn and Sam Davis of Lithia Springs, Shirley and Tommy Pritchett of Moultrie; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Voyles of Cairo; and a sister, Mary Voyles Barfield of Columbus. Memorials may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, Calvary or to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. — Clark Funeral Home



Emma J. Collins

Graveside services for Emma J. Collins, Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2001 at Reedy Creek Cemetery in Pavo. The Rev. Estelle Arrington will officiate. Mrs. Collins died Wednesday, Aug. 15 at Hospitality Care. She had lived in Thomasville all of her life, was a member of Silver Hill M.B. Church in Coolidge and was the mother of six children. Survivors include nieces, Norma D. Winn, Lavern Davis both of Coolidge, Barbara Bevard of Thomasville, Diane Brown of Atlanta; and special friend, Johnnie Mae Carley of Thomasville. Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Brinson; brothers, Robert Carter, J.C. Carter, Otis Carter; sisters, Lillie Mae Brinson and Beatrice Baker. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home
