Sandra L. Dardy

Services for Sandra L. Dardy, Fort Valley, are at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at House of Joy, 525 Walcott St., Thomasville. Elder Ruben Addison will officiate and Elder Roberta Tillis, pastor. Interment is in Mount Nebo Cemetery. Active pallbearers are friends of the family. Mrs. Dardy died Dec. 29 at Peach Regional Medical Center. Born in Miami, Fla., she was daughter of the late Maydell Porter and Theartis Dardy. She attended Dade County School System. Survivors include a son, Vincent Dardy of Lithonia; father, Theartis Dardy of Miami; sisters, Jeanett Porter, Denise Dardy, Theatrice Dardy all of Miami; a special niece, Tresa Dardy; two special friends, Myron Faison of Miami, Tonya Baker of Trenton, N.J.; and a mother and father by love, Audrey and Marcus Mitchell of Lithonia. — Weston’s Funeral Home



Ettie V. Sculley

Services for Ettie V. Sculley, 87, Cairo, are at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Cairo. The Rev. A.C. Gilliard and the Rev. Gene Vinson will officiate. Interment is in Springhill Christian Cemetery in Thomas County. Active pallbearers Charles Scully, Chad Scully, Jimmy Scully, Mark Griffis, Jason Boatwright and Dennis Scully. Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Radney, Gene Radney, Lee Sessions, Richard Boatwright, Daniel Kelly, Roy Radney, Alan Yearwood, Dennis Scully, Rusty Wiley Scully, Rodney Sculley and Johnny Yearwood. Mrs. Sculley died Saturday, Jan. 1 in Cairo. Born Sept. 28, 1917, in Grady County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late William Dennis and Ollie Etta Jones Sculley. She was married to William Joshua Sculley who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Thomasville. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, James (Buddy) and Josie Sculley of Donalsonville, Charles and Dola Sculley of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia Heaton of Griffin, Anne Crosby of Cairo, Elizabeth (Lib) Radney of Cairo, Lillie Mae Yearwood of Cairo, Jeanne Boatwright of Cairo, Ruth and Doug Kelley of Byron; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Robert Dennis Sculley and Edward Patrick Sculley; granddaughters, Gail Griffis Cogland, Jerri Barwick; and her parents. — Clark Funeral Home



Clo Reita King Stewart

Memorial services for Clo Reita King Stewart, 79, are at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel in Valdosta. Private interment is in Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. She died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Stewart was the only child of the late Rubye Maloney and Corbett Mitchell King of Brooks County, Ga. She was the great-great-granddaughter of the late Willis King, early settler of Brooks County. Mrs. Stewart was born in Brooks County, a graduate of Dixie High School and attended Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee, Fla. She married John Furman Stewart of Greenwood, S.C., Nov. 23, 1943. Mrs. Stewart was active in church and civic organizations in Thomasville, where she lived for 51 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she served on the administrative board, circle chairperson of United Methodist Women, Altar Guild and charter member of Sue McTier Sunday School Class. Mrs. Stewart was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, active in Boy Scouts, member of DAR and UDC, past president of Countess Vandal Garden Club, past president of Thomasville Garden Club Inc., served as co-chairperson of the Rose Show and volunteered at Archbold Hospital and Pebble Hill Plantation. She was selected as one of 20 fine outstanding women in 1989 by the Flint River Girl Scout Council, Albany. Mrs. Stewart was selected Woman of the Year by the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce in 1991. She served as civic representative on Thomasville-Thomas County Clean Community Commission and helped form the “Adopt-A-Mile” program and “Keep America Beautiful” for the city of Thomasville. Mr. And Mrs. Stewart moved to Valdosta in 1994. They joined Park Avenue United Methodist Church and Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Stewart was a member of Holly Garden Club, Literary Guild and an active member of the American Contract Bridge League. The Stewarts have spent summers in Maggie Valley and Dillsboro, N.C. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Diane Stewart of Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and David Babbit of Marietta; grandchildren, Amy and Jay Smith, Bryan and Kim Stewart, Andy and Kim Bolton, Ansley Bolton all of Valdosta, Carter Babbit, Molly Babbit, Kate and Mike Williams all of Atlanta; and great-grandchildren, Abbie Stewart, Ellie Smith and Ashton Bolton all of Valdosta. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Park Avenue United Methodist Church Music Ministry, First United Methodist Church, Thomasville, Pearlman Cancer Center or Hospice of South Georgia. Janine Rouleau Williams

Graveside services for Janine Rouleau Williams, 48, Whigham, are at noon, Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Whigham. The Rev. Bob Knight will officiate. Mrs. Williams died Jan. 1 at Grady General Hospital in Cairo. She was an administrative assistant at Georgia Industries for the Blind. Survivors include her husband, Ken Williams of Whigham; sons, Joshua Gabriel and wife, Ellen of Grand Forks, N.D., Matthew Gabriel of Thomasville, Lloyd Alexander Williams of Whigham; brothers, Dennis Rouleau of Forester, R.I., Michael Rouleau of Virginia; sisters, Kathy Capps of Galivant’s Ferry, S.C., and Teresa Lapre of Forester.
